Photo crews have adjusted to working under covid-19 guidelines, and commercial photographers are required by law to meet local safety measures. Here are the options and protocols I’ve been sharing with clients and crew during this time:

After years. And years. And years. I finally sat down and created a portfolio of motorsports and automotive photography. This collection comes from some playoff-level assignments shot for various clients including: Audi sportscar experience, Mercedes-Benz, Motorcyclist Magazine, Porsche, Simraceway, and more. There will certainly be new trophies added and replacements to the portfolio over time. So far these are my all-stars.

Suites and ties. I often photograph people who wear them for assignments. Sometimes it’s for corporate portraits and head shots of executives in the Bay Area. Other times it could be a sharp fellow like Andrew Spokes (above) for the cover of a NY investment magazine.

In print this month for the French magazine Science et vie is my editorial portrait of Dr. Jay Lalezari of Quest Clinical Research in San Francisco, CA. There is a lesson I learned from this shoot that is applicable to any magazine photographer in a crunch.

One Person Can Make A Difference

Shot for Fidelity Magazine. Gary Maxworthy single handedly brought fresh produce into the California Food Bank system. This one man is responsible for bringing healthy food to over 600 community food programs. See short interview for more.

I will have a framed piece in a group art show this weekend at the 3rd Annual Pinewood Derby Car Races & Art Auction at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco. Hosted by The Hell’s Belles Car Club. Benefits go to the Bay Area Women & Children’s Center in SF.
